Dr. Shahvazian Building

For this residential project, our goal was to conduct a deep exploration into the different ways architecture can shape the urban experience. We developed three distinct conceptual alternatives, each with its own powerful narrative and architectural language, moving from the rational to the playful to the organic.

Our geometric studies began with The Rhythmic Grid, a vision rooted in modernist principles that uses a deep, orderly facade to create a dramatic play of light and shadow. As a dynamic counterpoint, we conceived The Interlocking Volume, a more playful approach that deconstructs the facade into large, puzzle-like forms to create a bold and graphic statement. Finally, we explored a biophilic vision with The Verdant Wave, wrapping the building in fluid, organic fins that double as integrated planters, transforming the structure into a tranquil vertical garden.

Together, these three alternatives—the rational, the playful, and the organic—represent a comprehensive study in form, materiality, and the future of urban living, showcasing a versatile approach to finding the perfect design solution.
